  21. 1. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  23.     Turbo Navigator runs on any computer running Windows 95, 98,
  24.     98SE, ME, NT 4.0, 2000 and later provided that system has
  25.     the latest version of ComCtl32.dll file installed. The
  26.     latest version of this file can be found on the following
  27.     web address:

  31. 2. INSTALL
  32.  
  33.     You have to run TNSETUP.EXE to install Turbo Navigator
  34.     on your computer. If you have an older version of Turbo
  35.     Navigator please be sure it is closed before running
  36.     TNSETUP.EXE.

  39. 3. UNINSTALL
  40.  
  41.     To uninstall Turbo Navigator go to Control Panel
  42.     Add/Remove Programs applet and uninstall it from there.
  43.     Don't remove files manually as the options stored in the
  44.     registry will not be removed. Please ensure Turbo
  45.     Navigator is closed before uninstalling.

  48. 4. DESCRIPTION
  49.  
  50.     Turbo Navigator is advanced, highly customisable
  51.     file manager for Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000. It works as
  52.     Windows Explorer but with one main difference: it uses two
  53.     file panels, as in Symantec's Norton Commander, a well
  54.     known commercial file manager for DOS and Windows. Some
  55.     of the key features include:
  56.       -Full Drag and Drop capability;
  57.       -Built-in file viewer for text, RTF and binary files;
  58.       -System Tree View for both panels - able to mimic
  59.        Windows Explorer.
  60.       -Advanced change attributes capability
  61.        (recurse subdirectories, ability to change System
  62.        attribute, ability to change Created/Modified/Accessed
  63.        file time/date stamp);
  64.       -Copy speed display;
  65.       -Advanced filtering capability
  66.        (in file panels and in basic operations like copy, move
  67.        and delete);
  68.       -Built-in favourites for quick directory change;
  69.       -Ability to wipe the files from the disk so they can not
  70.        be undeleted;
  71.       -Fully customisable colours in the file panels;

  91. 6. PRIVACY NOTE (CHECK FOR UPDATES)

  93.     To be able to use Check for updates option you have to be
  94.     connected to the Internet. Turbo Navigator will make a HTTP
  95.     connection with http://www.turbonavigator.com/ and will not
  96.     leave any information whatsoever. Only thing that is
  97.     collected is your IP address in the server LOG files. This
  98.     is standard behaviour for all web servers and this happens
  99.     every time you visit any web site on the Internet.

  176. 8. COMMAND LINE PARAMETERS
  177.  
  178.     /new
  179.       This command will open a new TN instance overriding
  180.       "Allow only one instance" option.
  181.  
  182.     /left=num, /top=num, /width=num, /height=num
  183.       These command can be used to position TN window on
  184.       screen programmatically. Replace num with actual number.
  185.       For example:
  186.       /left=10 /top=20 /width=800 /height=600
  187.       will load TN on position 10, 20 (X, Y) with width set to
  188.       800 and height to 600.
  189.       You can use any combination of parameters. For example,
  190.       you can use only /left and /top and omit /width and
  191.       /height. Or, you can use /left whole alone. It's your
  192.       choice!

  194.     /ld=<dirpath>, /rd=<dirpath>
  195.       You can use these commands to open specific dir for,
  196.       either left or right panel or for both. /ld is for left
  197.       and /rd for right one. Instead of <dir> you should put a
  198.       real path to the dir. For example:
  199.       /ld=C:\Windows /rd=C:\Windows\System
  200.       will open C:\Windows directory in left panel and
  201.       C:\Windows\System directory in right one. If dir name has
  202.       blanks in it you better put quotes around it like this:
  203.       /ld="C:\Program Files"
  204.       You don't have to use both parameters at the same time
  205.       here either.

  208. 9. UPX NOTE
  209.  
  210.     TN.EXE (main Turbo Navigator executable file) is compressed
  211.     with UPX. If you want to decompress it you have to download
  212.     the latest version of UPX from UPX web site:
  213.       http://upx.tsx.org

  215.     TN is compressed with UPX to maintain it's small file size
  216.     so it can be easily copied to floppy disk and transferred
  217.     to another computer without any need for installing it
  218.     again.
